Instructions

A WiFi hotspot locator is demonstrated in the mobile phone simulator on the right hand side of the page. You can click the links with your mouse and the service will respond as if you were using a real mobile phone. Use the scroll bar on the right to reveal other parts of the page.

The Key Features section highlights some of the most compelling components of the product set. Click the Show Me button to the right and the mobile phone will change to display a page demonstrating the feature.

If you have your mobile phone to hand, you can text 51 to 60066 and view the demonstration on your mobile.

Key Features
Maps
Displays a map showing the precise location of the WiFi hotspot together with additional information. We've used WiFi hotspots for this demonstration but it could be your shops, pubs, cinemas, railway stations, navigation points, or anything else with a latitude and longitude.
 
Selecting a Location
Choose a Country, County and then Town or City to find hotspots in the area.
 
Move Location
Use the arrows below the map to move around and find different hotspots.
 
Google Gears

Use Google Gears to find your current location automatically. If Gears isn't installed you'll be promoted to install it. The 1st time you use the service following the Gears installation you'll be asked to provide permission to locate you. If Google can find you we'll display a map with hotspots near you. if not you'll get a message explaining what has happened.

Gears is currently in beta and may not work reliably in all instances. Find out more about Gears here.
